Night Supervision FAQs
How do I know if I am eligible for Night Supervision services?
As 245D Basic Services, Night Supervision services require that a person has a waiver for either Brain Injury (BI), Community Alternative Care (CAC), Community Access for Disability Inclusion (CADI), or Developmental Disabilities (DD), and is referred by a case manager.
A person is eligible to receive Night Supervision services if they live in their own home and are assessed to need overnight assistance and supervision in at least one of the following areas:
- Implementation of the person’s positive support programming and transition plans.
- Reinforcement of skill development supports (e.g., individualized home supports).
- Assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Assistance with instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).
Does my Support Worker required to stay awake all night?
Not necessarily. Night supervision services can include an asleep or awake staff who is performing an activity listed in the eligibility section above.
